Hopper extension: a bigger loading buffer
The manufacturer lists dry-material capacity of 300 lb with the hopper extension, compared with 120 lb in the standard hopper. That is 2.5 times the capacity, or a 150% increase—not triple the capacity.
At the listed capacity, the extension can hold five 60 lb bags. Four full 80 lb bags total 320 lb and exceed the 300 lb rating. Do the weight calculation for the bags you use rather than treating “more capacity” as permission to overfill.
The extension can reduce reload frequency, but it does not increase the auger's rated output. It is most useful when a larger dry-material buffer fits the way you feed the machine. It does not free you to leave active mixing unattended.
Check the standalone hopper extension or the contents of an eligible Evolution bundle. Confirm the mounting arrangement and model fit before ordering.
Chute extension: short added reach
The manufacturer's chute extension adds 18 in. of reach and offers three adjustment angles. That can help direct material into a nearby hole or form while keeping the machine in a suitable position.
It is not a pump or conveyor. If the placement is much farther away, plan material handling separately. Also check height: adding horizontal reach does not make the mixer capable of discharging upward into any container you choose.
The listed chute height on the Evolution 3225 is 16 in. Check that against the height of your form, hole, bucket, or wheelbarrow, and dry-fit the machine's position before opening any bags.
CTD lists a chute extension compatible with the Evolution and original 3221. Check the exact item and installation instructions; the handle of an online URL is not the compatibility specification.
Cover: useful after cleaning
A fitted cover helps protect a stored machine from weather and debris. Use it after the mixer has been cleaned and prepared for storage. Covering residue does not stop it from hardening, and a cover does not winterize water lines.
Check the dimensions, installed accessories, and transport instructions for the cover you choose. CTD's standalone all-weather cover is separate from add-on-only listings used in eligible bundles.
Fit first, then compare value
- Identify your mixer model from the plate.
- Confirm which accessory is already included with the package you are buying.
- Check the item-specific fitment and mounting hardware.
- Make sure the accessory solves a problem you actually have.
Replacement parts are a different decision. Use the maintenance and parts guide for a fault or worn component. For a new machine package, compare Evolution bundles before paying for the same accessory twice.
